Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Orion Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emory Majors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Orion Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emory Majors!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Majors avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cook scores with a jab to the jaw.
Cook shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Majors sprawls well. Majors wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cook gets slowly back to his feet.
As Cook backs off Majors throws a huge counter combo but Cook manages to avoid it all.
Majors takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cook avoids the body shot from Majors.
Cook darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Cook throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Majors on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Cook swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Majors.

As Cook backs off Majors throws a huge counter combo but Cook manages to avoid it all.

No joy there for Majors, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cook tries to clinch up but Majors circles away and keeps his distance.
Majors looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Majors on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Cook has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orion Cook. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Majors cracks Cook with a right hand to the side of the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cook with the ground and pound but Majors uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Majors has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Majors accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Majors manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cook manages to get himself to full guard.

Cook throws a nice looking combination but Majors bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Nice takedown defense from Cook. No joy for Majors on that attempt.

Majors moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Cook shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Majors but Majors pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cook throws a poor cross that misses
and Majors counters with a left to the body.
Majors looks to score with a jab to the body but Cook is just out of range.
Majors throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Majors tries to bum rush Cook with a series of wild strikes but Cook uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cook attempts a counter takedown but Majors avoids it well and moves away.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Orion Cook.
I think Cook has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
