The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Downtime sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mendes gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mendes on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Downtime breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mendes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Downtime lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Mendes tries to clinch but Downtime is having none of it.
Downtime appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Mendes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Downtime throwing a counter right hand but Mendes manages to avoid it.
Downtime keeps the fight on the outside.
Mendes rushes Downtime and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mendes is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Downtime pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mendes fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Downtime creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mendes's defenses.
Mendes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Downtime gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Nycky Downtime has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Mendes.
Mendes tries for a takedown. No joy.

Downtime tries to land knees in the clinch but Mendes avoids the damage to the body.
Mendes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Downtime avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Downtime scores a nice knee to the body.

Downtime's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Downtime misses with a jab, cross combination.
A punch lands to the side of Mendes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Jake Mendes has been cut.
Downtime scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mendes in his tracks.
Mendes is rocked!
Downtime lands with a shot to the body.
Mendes is still on wobbly legs! Can Downtime finish him?
Jake Mendes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Downtime closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Mendes out cold! Mendes corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
