Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Fergers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Resnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fergers comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin' Park - Waiting for the End. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dean Fergers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marko Resnov!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fergers doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Fergers has closed the distance and engaged Resnov in a clinch.
Resnov being controlled against the cage.
Fergers lands a body punch in the clinch.
Resnov trying to land knees to the body.
Fergers avoids a wild elbow strike from Resnov.

Fergers breaks from the clinch.
Resnov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Fergers counters with a nice double leg into side control. Resnov won't be happy with that.
We've been hearing that Fergers has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fergers tries to move to mount but Resnov blocks the move with his legs.
Resnov is looking to get back to his feet here but Fergers is keeping cool and he's managed to take Resnov's back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Fergers's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Fergers is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Resnov knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Resnov for a finish.

Resnov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fergers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fergers is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Resnov defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Fergers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fergers is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Fergers gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Fergers gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Fergers apologises and we restart here on the feet.

We've been informed that Resnov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Resnov is looking to control Fergers's arms but Fergers gets an underhook and turns him. Now Resnov has his back to the cage.
Resnov is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.
Fergers is working for takedown but Resnov is calmly controlling the position for now.

It looks like Dean Fergers has been cut.
Resnov lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

A nice side step and Resnov releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
