Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simppa Koivu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anaconda Anaconda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koivu comes to the cage accompanied by Omnium gatherum - The Return. Anaconda has chosen Baby Got Back as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simppa Koivu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anaconda Anaconda!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koivu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Anaconda is fending him off so far but Koivu persists. Nope, Anaconda circles away and we're back to standing.
Koivu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anaconda tries to avoid it but Koivu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anaconda to the ground. Anaconda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Koivu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Anaconda slips a straight right by Koivu.
Koivu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Koivu throws a leg kick but Anaconda checks it.
Koivu misses with a wild body shot.
Koivu pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Anaconda dodges the punch combination from Koivu.
Koivu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A telegraphed right hand from Koivu misses the target.

Anaconda throws a combination. Koivu tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horrible takedown by Koivu or perhaps it was just good defense by Anaconda which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simppa Koivu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Anaconda lands with an overhand left.
Koivu shoots in looking for a takedown. Anaconda tries to sprawl out of it but Koivu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anaconda manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Koivu throws and low kick but Anaconda moves out of range easily.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Koivu. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Nice uppercut lands for Anaconda. That snapped Koivu's head back.

Anaconda has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Anaconda cracks a nice hook into Koivu's ribs.
Koivu is breathing heavily.
Koivu is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Koivu moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Anaconda connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Anaconda cracks Koivu with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Koivu tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Anaconda pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Koivu is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
