Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hoody Hooty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Von Von (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Von gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hooty to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Von utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hooty content to stall in guard here.
Von looking for a sweep. Not yet Von, not yet.
Von is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hooty trying to control the position from guard on top but Von is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hooty is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hooty has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Von controls Hooty momentarily but Hooty frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Von stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Von wants it to stay on the feet.
Hooty leaves Von with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hooty closes this distance looking for a takedown but Von circles away.
Hooty tries to close the distance and clinch but Von swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Von turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Von manages to end up in side control.

Hooty drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Von manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hooty has Von in his guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hooty shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Von's guard.

Hooty stands up over Von, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hooty slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Von bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hooty's guard.

Von is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
