Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hello Kitty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hello Kitty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron James!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James works over Kitty's head and body with a nice combination.
A head kick misses from James.
Kitty avoids the head kick by James.
Kitty tries to counter with a takedown but James is quick to defend against it.
James displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kitty.
Kitty avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kitty closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
James is trying to stand.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Kitty is trying to control the action in half guard but James is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kitty is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for James!
Kitty is looking to work his way around to James's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Kitty jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but James manages to avoid the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kitty tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kitty has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
James manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Kitty is working for a submission of some sort.
Kitty looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Kitty is working hard here to advance position.

Kitty is sneakily working for an arm triangle but James sees it coming and defends easily.
Kitty is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
James is desperately trying to improve his position but Kitty has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kitty wants to finish this one by submission but James is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kitty.

Kitty looking for a guillotine from mount but James is having none of it.

Kitty looking to secure an arm triangle but James defends it well.
Kitty can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as James is looking to escape.

Kitty wants to take James's back here but James is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Kitty is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. James can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kitty working for a guillotine from mount but James is in no mood to give up.
James is wriggling around trying to escape.
James is controlling an arm, preventing Kitty from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
James working to try and regain half guard.
James is trying to stand.

James is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Kitty is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but James is surviving well by controlling Kitty's body position as best he can.
Kitty wants to take James's back but he can't do it this time.

Kitty has control of James's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and James regains control of the situation pretty easily.
James is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
James stops Kitty from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Kitty looking to control but James is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kitty fails to move to back control.
James is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Kitty wants to finish this one by submission but James is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kitty.
James wants to hold on but Kitty pushes him away.
James has given up his back.

James is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kitty gets his way!

Kitty is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but James has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
James is trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hello Kitty dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kitty tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but James defends well and Kitty ends up having to push James into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from James. No joy for Kitty on that attempt.
James wants to counter the offense by Kitty and move into the clinch position.
No luck for Kitty with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hello Kitty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
James tries to close the distance and clinch but Kitty swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kitty shoots for a double leg takedown but James sprawls well. He's pushed Kitty's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
James is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Kitty swats away the attempt to clinch by James.
Kitty feinted with a counter takedown.
James misses with a head kick.
Kitty has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
James throws a right and a left that both miss.
James stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and James wants it to stay on the feet.
James looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Kitty drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kitty is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
James pushes Kitty away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kitty gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kitty off and has taken his back!
Kitty rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Kitty makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kitty.
James is breathing heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kitty is on top in guard.

Kitty advances to half guard.
Kitty prevents James from improving his position.
Kitty wants to pass to mount but James is defending the position.
James wants to control but Kitty is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kitty stops James from getting back to his feet.

Kitty is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
James is in trouble now - Kitty has advanced to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kitty wants to take James's back but he can't do it this time.
Kitty moves to take his opponent's back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kitty has both hooks in and is working for a choke. James is in real trouble here. Kitty gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, James is tapping out! Kitty wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hello Kitty!
