The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem throws a nice outside leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jone.
Overeem misses with a body shot
letting Jone counter with a right hand.
Jone swats away the attempt to clinch by Overeem.
A punch combination from Overeem misses.
Jone went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jone fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Overeem looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jone throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Overeem doesn't manage to clinch there - Jone circles away.
Jone dodges the punch combination from Overeem.
Jone avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jone connects with a crisp jab.
Overeem tries to close the distance and clinch but Jone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Overeem is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Jone doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Overeem crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Overeem's bad books for that mishap!
