The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Thompson misses with a double jab.
Kavanaue lands a body shot.
Thompson throws a hook but Kavanaue blocks it.
A little jabbing left from Kavanaue on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kavanaue scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Thompson doesn't seem bothered though.
Thompson is breathing heavily.

Oooooh!!! Kavanaue has knocked Thompson down with a huge combo! Kavanaue steps away and waves a wobbly Thompson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Billy Thompson has been cut.

Kavanaue lands an uppercut, right on the button! Thompson tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Jason Kavanaue spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
