Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sergiy Sklyar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sklyar comes into the arena with Scarface - No Tears blaring out of the sound system. Jenkins has chosen Mary Jane as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Sergiy Sklyar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thurgood Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jenkins has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sklyar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jenkins was well out of range. Poor timing from Sklyar.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Jenkins shoots for a double leg takedown but Sklyar sprawls well. He's pushed Jenkins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sergiy Sklyar will probably get the nod.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sklyar looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Jenkins can't hide his disappointment, as Sklyar celebrates the victory.
