PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quin Kenobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarek Mace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenobi moves away from the strike by Mace.
Kenobi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mace sprawls and moves away.
Mace swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kenobi counters with a shoot takedown. Mace fights it but they end up in guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mace throws the kick towards the body but Kenobi avoids it.

Mace buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mace throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kenobi on the side of the head.

Mace lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mace working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kenobi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kenobi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
