The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez lands with a good body shot.
Hernandez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hernandez with a lazy takedown attempt
and Spencer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Spencer.
Spencer tightens his grip and picks Hernandez up, before dumping him to the ground. Hernandez manages to land in guard.

Hernandez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Spencer is looking to work some ground and pound but Hernandez has wrist control.

Spencer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spencer working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Spencer has hold of Hernandez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hernandez seems comfortable defending it but Spencer has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hernandez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hernandez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Spencer couldn't care less - he's delighted!
