Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Skinny Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willow Hard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hard fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pete throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Pete getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Hard's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pete connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hard scrambles back to his feet.
Pete takes a swing at Hard's ribcage but misses.
Pete circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pete swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pete bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hard's head backwards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hard is working for a kimura but Pete is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Pete is staying active underneath Hard, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hard stands and throws Pete's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hard remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close round but I would say that Skinny Pete will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hard is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pete is proving hard to escape from.
Hard wants to pass the guard but Pete is keeping the position.

Hard is taking a breather. Pete says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Hard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pete sprawls well. Pete wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hard gets slowly back to his feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Hard closes the distance and clinches up with Pete, looking for a takedown. Hard pushes Pete against the cage but Pete circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Pete tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hard avoids it.
Hard tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pete smiles and moves away.
Hard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Hard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pete defends well and Hard ends up having to push Pete into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Skinny Pete has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willow Hard.
Pete tests Hard's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hard shoots in for a takedown but Pete shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Pete cracks Hard with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Pete fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Hard shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Pete tries to counter by clinching up but Hard breaks away and moves out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hard or perhaps it was just good defense by Pete, which made it look bad.

Pete throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hard on the side of the head.
Hard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Hard takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Hard drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Skinny Pete is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hard throws a lazy right hand but Pete sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pete, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
