Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bo Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Druss The Legend!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Francis DeMontford and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Legend misses with a lunging right hand

and Collins counters by moving into the clinch.
The Legend managing to block the knees to the body from Collins.
Collins tries to land a knee to the head but The Legend blocks with his arms.
Collins tries to land knees in the clinch but The Legend avoids the damage to the body.
The Legend scores with a shoulder strike.
The Legend wants to get back to striking at distance but Collins won't allow it.
Collins blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Collins wants to take the fight to the mat but The Legend manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Collins has The Legend pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Collins pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending The Legend tumbling to the mat - Collins dives into The Legend's guard.

Collins stands up over The Legend, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Collins with a flurry of punches that miss.

The Legend has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Collins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Collins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Legend is on top in guard.

The Legend stands and throws Collins's legs to the side, diving into side control.

My spies in Finch Farm inform me that The Legend has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


The Legend throws a head kick but Collins moves out of range.
Collins went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
The Legend throws a lazy right hand but Collins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The Legend lands a leg kick that knocks Collins off balance momentarily.
Collins takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The Legend lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The Legend tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The Legend scores with a sloppy right hand. Collins should have avoided that one.
The Legend jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Collins moves forwards but The Legend connects with a nice, crisp jab.

The Legend cracks a nice hook into Collins's ribs.
The Legend cracks Collins with a right hand to the side of the head.
The Legend throws a head kick that misses.
Collins tries to counter with a takedown but The Legend is quick to defend against it.
The Legend scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The Legend misses the jab.
The Legend cracks Collins with an open hand slap.
Collins shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The Legend slaps away a takedown attempt from Collins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from The Legend! But no joy.
The Legend throws a series of punches but Collins avoids them all with ease.
Collins half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
The Legend scores with a sloppy right hand. Collins should have avoided that one.

The Legend throws a big shot that misses.
Collins feinted with a counter takedown.
The Legend misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Collins closes the distance but The Legend moves to the side
and The Legend counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Druss The Legend seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Collins on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The Legend throws a chopping leg kick but Collins manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Collins wants to control but The Legend is keeping him busy.

The Legend is working to avoid the ground and pound but Collins connects with a decent elbow.

Collins is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Collins looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Legend with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Druss The Legend showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


The Legend lands a nice shot that snaps Collins's head back.
Collins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The Legend as he avoids it easily.
The Legend has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Horrible takedown attempt by Collins or perhaps it was just good defense by The Legend, which made it look bad.
The Legend looks to land a combination but Collins avoids it well.
Collins tries to counter with a takedown but The Legend is quick to defend against it.
Collins moves in looking to clinch but The Legend pushes him off.
Collins needs to keep his hands up - The Legend had a free shot at his head there.

The Legend bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bo Collins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The Legend will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

The Legend stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The Legend misses with a two punch combination.
Collins is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from The Legend.
Collins shoots in for a double leg but The Legend sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Collins walks into a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Collins takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The Legend connects with a single shot there.
The Legend scores with a crisp jab that stopped Collins in his tracks.

Collins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with The Legend, pushing him back against the cage.
The Legend wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Collins gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Collins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Collins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The Legend has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Collins is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Collins is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but The Legend is defending well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The Legend misses with a hook from the clinch.
Collins is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Collins looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Collins is trying to work for a single leg takedown but The Legend pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The Legend is trying to maintain a safe position but Collins gets an underhook and turns The Legend into the cage.
The Legend wants to get back to striking at distance but Collins won't allow it.

The Legend's corner calls for a 1-2. The Legend obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Collins has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by The Legend after a bit of a struggle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Legend goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The Legend scores with an uppercut up the middle.
The Legend tries to circle away but Collins has him pinned against the cage.

Druss The Legend comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think The Legend has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
