Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yang Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ McGobblecock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Japanese National Anthem. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Yang Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, BJ McGobblecock!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McGobblecock shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lee wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McGobblecock shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
McGobblecock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
McGobblecock is taking a breather. Lee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McGobblecock looks to land a strike but Lee avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGobblecock is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control.
McGobblecock throws a big elbow that misses.
McGobblecock trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.

McGobblecock engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
McGobblecock wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

McGobblecock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lee did well to prevent McGobblecock getting side control.
McGobblecock thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
McGobblecock throwing shots but Lee is blocking nicely.
McGobblecock content to control rather than advance.

McGobblecock is looking to advance position but Lee won't allow it.
McGobblecock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lee is trying to stand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGobblecock.
Lee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lee misses with a kick to the body.

Lee misses with a takedown attempt - McGobblecock sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
McGobblecock throws a shot from downtown. Lee moves away and avoids it.
Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
McGobblecock fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McGobblecock connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Lee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McGobblecock.
Lee is looking for a counter combo.
Lee tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and McGobblecock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McGobblecock connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lee's hands.
Lee shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McGobblecock eats them both and turns towards Lee to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McGobblecock thows a huge punch but Lee dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McGobblecock seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Lee is defending against the submission attempts here by McGobblecock.
McGobblecock lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Lee is refusing to be controlled, as McGobblecock sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

BJ McGobblecock dominated that round.
That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - McGobblecock circles away.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but McGobblecock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lee tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McGobblecock is able to avoid easily.
And McGobblecock tries to counter it with a takedown but Lee pushes his down on his head and steps out.
McGobblecock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lee looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Horrible takedown attempt by McGobblecock or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee, which made it look bad.
McGobblecock throws a big shot that misses.
McGobblecock loads up on a big right hand but Lee slips the punch.
Lee avoids a kick to the body.
Lee tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McGobblecock manages to circle out of the way.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but McGobblecock swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McGobblecock lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lee misses with a head kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lee moves out of range of the body kick.

Lee ducks under a wild hook from McGobblecock.
Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGobblecock.
Lee went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
McGobblecock catches Lee with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


Lee is rocked!
Lee switches off momentarily and McGobblecock cracks him with a monster right hand! Lee topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as McGobblecock dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by McGobblecock!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). BJ McGobblecock!
