The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hawk throwing strikes from guard but Guerra blocks nicely.

Hawk got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guerra has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hawk has managed to get both his arms back between Guerra's legs - danger averted.
Hawk passes Guerra's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Guerra is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hawk pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Guerra wants to get back to full guard but Hawk has mounted him!
Hawk has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at New Age Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Hawk misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Hawk throwing strikes here but Guerra is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Hawk lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Guerra! Hawk sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Guerra and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
