Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Honda Tadakatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinso Okimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Honda Tadakatsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinso Okimoto!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tadakatsu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Okimoto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tadakatsu somewhat.
Okimoto tries to clinch but Tadakatsu moves away
and Tadakatsu counters with a stiff right hand.
Okimoto misses with a double jab.
Tadakatsu explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Tadakatsu lands with a straight right. Okimoto didn't see that one coming.
Okimoto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Honda Tadakatsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Good leg kick by Tadakatsu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Tadakatsu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Okimoto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

It looks like Shinso Okimoto has been cut.

Okimoto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tadakatsu walks away with a smile on his face. Okimoto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

A looping hook to the body misses from Tadakatsu. Okimoto does a little dance to reset his feet.
A jab lands there for Tadakatsu.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tadakatsu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Honda Tadakatsu started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
