Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ellis Park!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kan Black!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black closes the distance and pushes Park back into the cage.
Black with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Black jumps guard.
Park stopping the sweep attempt from Black.
Park throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Black looking to control.
Black has Park pulled in close to control his posture.
Park makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Park got a little sloppy there for a moment and Black has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Park has managed to get both his arms back between Black's legs - danger averted.
Park lands a couple of elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Black wants to stand and escape but instead Park has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Park drops back, looking for a kneebar! Black looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Black looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Black!

Black creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Park sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

You can see the frustration on Park's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Park keeps working.
Park dodges the ground and pound from Black.

Black stands up and beckons Park to his feet.
Park is looking to clinch but Black is avoiding it.

Black darts in and clinches Park up against the cage.

Park is trying to force a seperation but Black has the dominant position.
Black is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Park gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Black breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Black.
Park changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
A punch combination from Black misses.
Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Black forces Park back against the cage and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kan Black dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Black throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Park counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Park.
Park really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Black is on top in guard.


Black drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Park dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Black is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Black closes the distance and clinches.
Park is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Black is defending well.
Park jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Black walks away with a smile on his face. Park gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Black throws the kick towards the body but Park avoids it.

and Park counters with a single leg into guard. Black didn't expect that.
Park postures up and lands a big shot to Black's brow.
Park in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Black escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Park gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Park lands a couple of digs.
Park trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Park throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Black works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
