Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcracken has chosen Onra - I Wanna Go Back as his entrance music. Phil Mcracken will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dennis Page!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Phil Mcracken!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page misses with an uppercut

and Mcracken counters by moving into the clinch.

Page pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Page.
Page misses with a head kick.
Mcracken keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Page throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A combination from Page does no damage.
Mcracken avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mcracken shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Page defends it nicely.
Page misses with a hook. Mcracken ducked under it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Page. Mcracken does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mcracken fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Page throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Mcracken shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Page tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mcracken is able to avoid easily.

Mcracken closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mcracken tries to stand and escape but Page is controlling the position.

Page is looking for a sweep. Mcracken is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Page is looking to control Mcracken's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Page avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Page misses with a low kick as Mcracken jumps back.
Page fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mcracken is out of range.
Mcracken slips under a jab from Page.
Page tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Page throws out a leg kick but Mcracken moves out of range and Page only half commits.
Mcracken displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Page throws out the jab.
Mcracken with the counter takedown but Page avoids it easily.
Mcracken checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Page lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

An inside leg kick lands from Page.
Mcracken dives in and grabs Page's left leg, looking for a takedown. Page pushes down on Mcracken's head and hops out.
Dennis Page has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Mcracken.
Mcracken tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Page defends well and Mcracken ends up having to push Page into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Page throws a push kick but Mcracken slaps the foot to one side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Page. Mcracken does a little dance to reset his feet.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Mcracken.
As Mcracken tries to get set, Page tries to push him back and clinch up but Mcracken manages to avoid the attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Page seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcracken does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mcracken tries to roll over but Page keeps him under control.
Page drops an elbow to the side of Mcracken's head.

Mcracken throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Mcracken is refusing to be controlled, as Page sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcracken makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mcracken.

Mcracken is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Page with a nice head shot there.
Page wants to control from the top but Mcracken keeps moving.
Mcracken utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Page slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Mcracken.
Mcracken tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Page content to control rather than advance.
Page wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcracken keeps working.
Page prevents Mcracken from improving his position.
Mcracken felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Mcracken goes for a double leg but Page avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Page continues to drive forward.
Page throws a lazy right hand but Mcracken sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Page pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mcracken shoots in but Page avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mcracken fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Page avoids it really well and circles away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Page cracks Mcracken with a right hand to the side of the head.
Mcracken takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Page pushes Mcracken back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Mcracken has a couple of punches blocked by Page.
Mcracken throws a head punch that misses.
Mcracken misses with some punches.
Mcracken lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Mcracken swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Page breaks the clinch.
Page keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mcracken changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Page tries to avoid it but Mcracken manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Page to the ground. Page escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mcracken fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Page avoids it really well and circles away.
Dennis Page seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Page throws a jab but it's blocked by Mcracken.

and Page moves into the clinch.

Page breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mcracken looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Page is fending him off so far but Mcracken persists. Nope, Page circles away and we're back to standing.
Page lands with a straight right. Mcracken didn't see that one coming.
Mcracken is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Page.


Mcracken is rocked!
Page cracks Mcracken with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Mcracken falls to his knees and Page doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dennis Page!
Dennis Page took some time post fight to say the following; 'George Kelly the pikey is coming for you'.
Phil Mcracken spoke after the fight, saying 'You were good in there... my butt hurts... and that's hard to do to a greek!'.
