Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Markus Fittz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barbossa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Intergalactic by The Beastie Boys. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fittz throws a sloppy head kick and Barbossa moves out of range easily.
Fittz fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Fittz scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Jake Barbossa has been cut.
Fittz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Barbossa.
Barbossa appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Markus Fittz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barbossa dives in and grabs Fittz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fittz pushes down on Barbossa's head and hops out.

Barbossa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Barbossa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fittz is just riding it out for now. Barbossa eventually gives up the hold.
Barbossa is keen to just control but Fittz is a slippery customer.

Barbossa decides to return to a standing position.
Fittz throws a right and a left that both miss.

Sloppy strikes from Fittz. Those never looked like landing.

Barbossa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barbossa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fittz.

Fittz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Barbossa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fittz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Barbossa is in Fittz's guard.

Barbossa drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fittz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fittz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fittz!

Fittz stands up and beckons Barbossa to his feet.
Fittz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fittz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A quick step to the side and Fittz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Fittz drops Barbossa with a left right combo! Fittz follows him down to the ground into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fittz decides to stand back up. Fittz steps back and let's Barbossa get back to his feet.
Nice shot lands for Fittz.

Barbossa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fittz wants to get back to his feet but Barbossa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Fittz is looking to stand up but Barbossa isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fittz swings for the body but Barbossa moves out of range.

Fittz drops Barbossa with a right and a left! Fittz comes rushing in but Barbossa regains his composure and manages to keep Fittz in guard.
Barbossa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fittz's guard.

Barbossa misses with an uppercut. Fittz saw that one coming.
Fittz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fittz wants it to stay on the feet.

Fittz throws a left that rocks Barbossa and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Fittz dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Barbossa regain composure!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fittz tries to advance to mount but can't.

Fittz stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Barbossa seems to have recovered his senses.
Markus Fittz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fittz slaps away a takedown attempt from Barbossa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fittz lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Barbossa can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Fittz and Barbossa drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Fittz.
