Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jase Hein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bane Rigante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hein takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Hein looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hein is controlling the pace.
Rigante trying to hold on to Hein's head to control him but Hein postures up.
Rigante is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hein in particular looking to stall.
Rigante is trying to control but can't.

Rigante is looking to improve his position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rigante wants to sweep but Hein has passed to side control!

Hein stands up.
Rigante feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hein's calf.
Both fighters circling a little - Rigante finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Rigante lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bane Rigante is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rigante misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hein seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rigante!

Hein rushes Rigante and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rigante tries to break free but Hein pushes him back against the cage.

Hein escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jab, jab by Rigante - just one landing.
Rigante tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hein is able to avoid easily.

Nice takedown defense from Rigante. No joy for Hein on that attempt.

Hein dives in and scores a takedown into Rigante's guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Rigante manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Hein stays in close to Rigante's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rigante pushes Hein off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Hein drops his hands momentarily and Rigante takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hein takes a jab right on the kisser.
Rigante slips a jab from Hein.
Rigante dips to his left and cracks Hein with an uppercut!
Hein doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hein on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rigante. Rigante obviously looking to wear him down.

Rigante gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hein tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rigante swivels and escapes.

Hein has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rigante misses with some punches.
Rigante has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hein is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Rigante is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hein is keeping busy.

Rigante fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hein has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hein shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rigante eats them both and turns towards Hein to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Rigante is rocked!
Hein shoots in but Rigante avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rigante is still on wobbly legs! Can Hein finish him?

Hein takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hein throws a big counter combination but Rigante scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Bane Rigante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Hein holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Rigante is trying to break free.
Hein putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Rigante in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Hein stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Hein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rigante lands a nice hook to Hein's body. Hein takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hein shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rigante pinned against the cage. Rigante gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rigante comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Hein bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hein knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rigante on the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hein decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rigante to his feet.

Rigante wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hein has him pressed against the cage.
Rigante using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hein has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hein tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rigante just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hein unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rigante lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Rigante has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Hein shoots in looking for a takedown. Rigante tries to sprawl out of it but Hein keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rigante manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rigante looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Hein takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It seemed like Rigante was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hein throws a counter high kick but Rigante was just alert enough to avoid it.

Rigante lands a two punch combo.
Bane Rigante seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rigante uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hein has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jase Hein. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hein looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A nice side step and Rigante releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Hein really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rigante cracks the inside of Hein's front leg.
Rigante fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hein is out of range.
Hein tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rigante manages to circle out of the way.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hein crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rigante - the referee stops the clock and Hein gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rigante. Hein manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hein tries to close the distance and clinch but Rigante swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hein takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Hein throws a push kick but Rigante slaps the foot to one side.
Rigante feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Heins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hein tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rigante throws a series of strikes that have Hein backpedaling.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hein.
Rigante scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rigante darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rigante plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Hein stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rigante.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice uppercut lands for Rigante. That snapped Hein's head back.
Rigante fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Hein wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Hein jumps guard and drags Rigante to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Jase Hein has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bane Rigante is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hein is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
