Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddie McQueen Duckarse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Beats!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duckarse fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Duckarse feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Duckarse wants to stand but Beats is controlling his posture from full guard.
Duckarse's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Duckarse makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Beats is looking to stand up but Duckarse isn't so interested in that idea.
Duckarse is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beats is wriggling around but Duckarse manages to pass to half guard.
Beats is trying to stand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Beats is trying to maintain the position but Duckarse is very close to passing his half guard.
Duckarse slows the pace down in half guard.

Duckarse is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duckarse controlling the action here.
Duckarse seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Beats for as long as he can get away with.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Beats manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Beats wants to stand up but Duckarse is controlling him.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Beats is on top in guard.

Beats postures up in Duckarse's guard and throws a big left but Duckarse blocks it.

Duckarse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beats doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beats manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Beats wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Duckarse's closed guard. He's half up but Duckarse has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Duckarse pivots and extends the arm, Beats falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Duckarse! Well done that man!
