Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between S B Marksman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uncle Sam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). S B Marksman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sam throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Marksman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sam as he avoids it easily.
Sam lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sam wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sam lands with a nice body punch.
A head kick misses from Sam.
Uncle Sam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sam throws a series of punches but Marksman moves out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Marksman.
Sam pushes Marksman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Marksman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Marksman decides to stand back up. Marksman steps back and let's Sam get back to his feet.
Marksman is breathing heavily.

Sam throws a right and a left that Marksman avoids nicely.
Marksman avoids the body shot from Sam.
Sam with a lazy takedown attempt

and Marksman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Sam wants to get back to his feet.
Sam is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Sam manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Sam cracks Marksman with an open hand slap.

Marksman doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sam throws a head kick that misses.
Marksman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sam lands with a cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sam throws a nice looking combination but Marksman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Marksman dodges the punch combination from Sam.
Sam misses with a few strikes there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sam lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sam.
Sam lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sam throws a shot to the body.
Sam misses with a low kick.
Sam lands a slapping body shot.
Sam doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Marksman counters with a takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sam is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Marksman has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Marksman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Sam explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marksman fails with the takedown
and Sam counters with a stiff right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uncle Sam dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sam swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Marksman.
Sam lands a glancing blow to the side of Marksman's head.
Sam looks to score with a jab to the body but Marksman is just out of range.
Marksman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sam shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Marksman counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Marksman prevents Sam from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Marksman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Marksman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sam is keeping the position for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sam wants to stand but Marksman is controlling the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sam swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Sam shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Marksman counters with a takedown into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sam is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Marksman asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Marksman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sam is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sam wants to get back to his feet but Marksman is dominant here and he's now got Sam's back!

Sam is trying to stand. He's onto all fours with Marksman on his back. Marksman looks like he's slipping off but he's actually tansitioning to a beautiful armbar! Sam has to tap out to a very impressive submission!
