Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Buddington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Jalkalukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buddington's entrance music is Smoking man - Burning lungs. A fine choice. Jalkalukko has chosen Jordan Sparks ft. Chris Brown - No Air as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oliver Buddington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesse Jalkalukko!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buddington blocks a head kick by Jalkalukko.
Buddington misses with a straight right.
Jalkalukko throws a big counter head kick but Buddington avoids it with no problem.
Jalkalukko throws a head kick that misses
and Buddington counters with a leg kick.
Buddington does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jalkalukko throws a quick inside leg kick.
We've been informed that Jalkalukko has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Oliver Buddington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jalkalukko tries to land a leg kick but Buddington saw it coming and moves away.
It looked like Buddington was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jalkalukko.
Buddington looks to score with a jab to the body but Jalkalukko is just out of range.
Buddington ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jalkalukko moves away.
A low kick from Buddington is predictable there

and Jalkalukko counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jalkalukko thows a huge punch but Buddington dodges it nicely.

Buddington knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jalkalukko on the ground.

Jalkalukko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jalkalukko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Jalkalukko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Buddington's head.

Let's hope that Jalkalukko has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jalkalukko's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Buddington misses with a hook.
Jalkalukko throws a lazy head kick
and Buddington counters with a nice body shot.
Buddington swings for the body but Jalkalukko moves out of range.
Buddington throws a leg kick
and Jalkalukko counters with a thumping low kick.
Jalkalukko throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Jalkalukko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Buddington.
Buddington moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromJalkalukko.

and Jalkalukko counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jalkalukko.
Jalkalukko is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Jalkalukko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jalkalukko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buddington is trying to control the position but Jalkalukko postures up.
Jalkalukko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Buddington controls Jalkalukko momentarily but Jalkalukko frees himself.

Jalkalukko advances position into side control!

Jalkalukko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The referee asks Jalkalukko politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jalkalukko prefers to stall for the moment though.
Buddington struggling a bit here.
Jalkalukko moves into full mount!
Jalkalukko scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Jalkalukko has isolated one of Buddington's arms. Buddington looking to fight him off but Jalkalukko twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Jesse Jalkalukko seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
The defeated Oliver Buddington had this to say: 'Lucky.. he was just lucky.'.
