Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Boughner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoly Onoprienko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boughner's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, mother. Bob Boughner is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob Boughner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Anatoly Onoprienko!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boughner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Onoprienko sprawls well initially but Boughner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Onoprienko is trying to get back to full guard.

Boughner seems to be working for a kimura but Onoprienko defends the submission attempt.

Boughner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Onoprienko is just riding it out for now. Boughner eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, if Boughner is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Onoprienko is trying to maintain the position but Boughner is very close to passing his half guard.

Boughner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Onoprienko is just riding it out for now. Boughner eventually gives up the hold.

Boughner looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Onoprienko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boughner is working away from the top position though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Onoprienko is controlling Boughner's trapped leg to prevent Boughner from advancing to side control.
Onoprienko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boughner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Boughner wants to free his trapped foot but Onoprienko is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Boughner is looking to stall here but Onoprienko recovers full guard.
Boughner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Onoprienko is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Boughner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Onoprienko wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boughner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Boughner looking to sit in guard and control but Onoprienko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Boughner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Onoprienko defends well.

Onoprienko avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Boughner dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A head kick misses from Onoprienko.
Boughner feinted with a counter takedown.
Onoprienko has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Boughner is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Boughner missing with a left hand there. Onoprienko was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Onoprienko has closed the distance and engaged Boughner in a clinch.
Boughner goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Boughner lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Onoprienko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boughner pulls his leg out and moves away.

Boughner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Onoprienko did well to prevent Boughner getting side control.

Onoprienko is refusing to be controlled, as Boughner sits in half guard.
Boughner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Onoprienko can do to turn this around?
Boughner is really struggling to control Onoprienko but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Boughner is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Onoprienko is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bob Boughner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Boughner tries to control but Onoprienko wriggling away.
Boughner forces the positional change into back control.
Onoprienko staying busy and making it hard for Boughner to control.
Boughner is not going to allow Onoprienko to sit and survive in this position.

Boughner keeps control of the position as Onoprienko tries to break free.

Onoprienko is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Boughner gets his way!
Boughner seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Boughner is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Onoprienko wants to get back to his feet.

You can see the frustration on Onoprienko's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Boughner keeps control of the position as Onoprienko tries to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boughner is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Onoprienko has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Boughner has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Onoprienko taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Boughner doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bob Boughner!
Bob Boughner seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
