The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvise misses with a straight left.
Alvise misses with an uppercut. Pinto saw that one coming.
Pinto shoots for a takedown but Alvise saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pinto moves away from the strike by Alvise.

and Alvise counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Alvise has closed the distance and engaged Pinto in a clinch.
Alvise throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Pinto dodges an elbow strike from Alvise.
Pinto struggles to land a body shot inside as Alvise controls his hands.
A right handed body shot lands from Alvise.

Pinto manages to pull guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pinto can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvise wants to stand and escape but instead Pinto has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Alvise can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pinto controls the pace.

Pinto drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Pinto as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Alvise screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Pinto! Nice submission victory there!
