Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryan Tuttle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peteer Nigul!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nigul circles away from the clinch attempt
and Nigul counters with a thumping low kick.
Tuttle throws a head kick that misses
and Nigul counters with a leg kick.
Nigul throws a nice inside leg kick.
Tuttle is looking to clinch.
Tuttle doesn't manage to clinch there - Nigul circles away.
Both fighters circling a little - Nigul finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Tuttle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nigul.
Nigul lands a nice looking kick to the body. Tuttle takes a step back to recover.
Tuttle is breathing heavily.

Nigul instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nigul's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tuttle darts in trying to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Nigul closes the distance and clinches.

Nigul receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Nigul lands a good knee to the midsection. Tuttle won't want to take too many of those.

Tuttle breaks the clinch.
Nigul's coach down at Russian Fighting Community Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nigul's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Tuttle closes the distance but Nigul moves to the side
and Nigul counters with a thumping low kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Nigul.
Tuttle moves to clinch but Nigul breaks away
and Nigul counters with an outside leg kick.
Tuttle fails with an attempt to clinch.
A slapping body kick lands there for Nigul.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Tuttle.

Nigul lands a head kick that bluckles Tuttle and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Nigul no doubt looking to push for a finish!


It looks like Ryan Tuttle has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nigul manages to break the clinch.
Peteer Nigul is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nigul and Tuttle are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Nigul throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Tuttle into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Nigul knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Peteer Nigul!
Our winner, Peteer Nigul, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
