Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Munson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Nik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nik shoots in for a double leg but Munson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nik goes for a double leg but Munson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Munson continues to drive forward.

Munson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nik regains guard immediately.

Nik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Munson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Munson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Munson wants to control from the top but Nik keeps moving.

Nik working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Munson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Munson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nik is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Munson is aware though and is defending well.

Nik has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Munson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Munson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nik swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Munson is trying to defend against the choke here but Nik has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Nik Tightens the hold and Munson taps out furiously! Nik displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
