The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Krathulian pinned against the cage. Krathulian gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ryan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Krathulian but Krathulian pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Krathulian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Krathulian tries to clinch up but Ryan circles away and keeps his distance.
Ford Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown. Krathulian tries to sprawl out of it but Ryan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Krathulian manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Krathulian feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
