The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owen tries to close the distance and clinch but Palmer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Owen is looking to clinch.
Owen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Palmer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Palmer tries to counter with a takedown but Owen is quick to defend against it.
Palmer keeps the fight on the outside.
Palmer swats away the attempt to clinch by Owen.
Owen tries to clinch up but Palmer circles away and keeps his distance.
Owen lands a head kick. Palmer smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Palmer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Owen is staying active underneath Palmer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Palmer maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Owen could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Palmer has cracked it and Owen is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Palmer!
