Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gar Diu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diu has chosen Pulse as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cru Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Gar Diu!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Diu lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Cru Jones has been cut.
Jones takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Diu cracks Jones with an open hand slap.
A nice leg kick lands there from Diu.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Diu.
Jones appears to be looking for a big counter.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Diu, which made it look bad.

Gar Diu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A lazy left from Diu finds it's target.
Diu pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jones back to the cage. Diu follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jones dives in and grabs Diu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diu pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cru Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diu darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Diu throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Diu has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Diu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Diu backing up. Diu nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diu's guard.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Diu's legs - danger averted.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Diu, right into the meat.

Diu is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots.

Diu is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Jones is staying active.

Diu is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diu is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.
