PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eirikur Adalsteinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Mcginty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eirikur Adalsteinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Mcginty!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adalsteinn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
No joy there for Adalsteinn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mcginty displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Adalsteinn throws out the jab.
Adalsteinn seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Adalsteinn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Mcginty might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Adalsteinn has got the better of the exchanges.

Adalsteinn cracks Mcginty with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Mcginty falls to his knees and Adalsteinn doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Eirikur Adalsteinn thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
