PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ayuma Kurosawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boudreaux Godeaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Godeaux has chosen Battle Ready as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Godeaux fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kurosawa sprawls well initially but Godeaux persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kurosawa looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Kurosawa is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Kurosawa tries to escape but Godeaux has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Godeaux has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Kurosawa's body.
Kurosawa is covering up but some of the strikes from Godeaux are getting through and doing damage.
Godeaux is punishing Kurosawa with strikes - can he finish him?!

Kurosawa is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Godeaux gets his way!

Godeaux is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Kurosawa has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Godeaux has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Kurosawa taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Godeaux doesn't care though - he's delighted!
