Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geraldo Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samuelson Correa!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Correa misses with a takedown attempt

and Ramirez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Correa tries to pull guard but Ramirez holds him up against the cage and eventually Correa drops back down to his feet.

Ramirez jumps into guard, dragging Correa to the mat.
Ramirez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ramirez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ramirez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ramirez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Correa wants to control the position but Ramirez says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ramirez moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Correa.

Correa is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ramirez is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Correa is wriggling around trying to escape.

Ramirez wants to finish this one by submission but Correa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ramirez.
Ramirez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Correa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramirez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Correa defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ramirez.
Ramirez controlling the pace for now.

Ramirez is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Correa is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Correa flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ramirez anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Correa and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ramirez slips an arm under Correa chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ramirez has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ramirez is squeezing on Correa like an anaconda would it's prey. Correa fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Geraldo Ramirez!
