The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shiba takes the fight into the clinch.

Best looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Shiba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Best swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Best looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Shiba has picked Best up and slammed him! Best can't keep hold of the triangle and Shiba manages to pass to side control!
Best wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

That's time! Best's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Shiba has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Best clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Shiba has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Shiba working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Best doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Best manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Shiba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Best postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Shiba is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Best, into his guard.
