Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Rocco Mcbride!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christopher Warren!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Eliza Hachem and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warren fails to land with a series of punches.
Warren gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mcbride counters with a three punch combo that has Warren backing up. Warren nods at Mcbride to acknowledge the strikes.
Warren throws a leg kick
and Mcbride counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Warren wants to clinch but Mcbride slips to the side
and Mcbride counters with a one-two to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Warren.
Warren misses with a takedown
and Mcbride counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Rocco Mcbride has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Warren.
Warren looks winded!

Mcbride rushes Warren and presses him up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Warren tries to pull guard but Mcbride won't allow it.

Mcbride's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mcbride really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mcbride would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Warren has his foot on Mcbride's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mcbride works his way back into a safe position though.
Warren seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Warren tries to pull guard but Mcbride holds him up against the cage and eventually Warren drops back down to his feet.

Warren has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mcbride after a bit of a struggle.
Mcbride creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Warren's defenses.

Warren fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mcbride avoids it really well and circles away.
We've been informed that Warren has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Warren tries to clinch there but Mcbride circles away.
Mcbride tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Warren manages to circle out of the way.

As Warren tries to get set, Mcbride tries to push him back and clinch up but Warren manages to avoid the attempt.

Mcbride knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Warren on the ground.
Warren is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Warren takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Mcbride is looking to control Warren's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcbride avoid being mounted?

Warren shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mcbride sprawls well. Mcbride wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Warren gets slowly back to his feet.

Mcbride's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Warren drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Warren pushes off an throws an elbow but Mcbride leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Mcbride is pressed up against the cage. Warren has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mcbride down to the mat. Mcbride avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mcbride shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Warren manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
