Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leland Stokes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leland Stokes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Leland Stokes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, William Willis!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stokes slips a jab from Willis.
Stokes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Stokes shoots in looking for a takedown. Willis tries to sprawl out of it but Stokes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Willis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Willis with the counter takedown but Stokes avoids it easily.

Stokes gets a clinch.

Willis successfully pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stokes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Willis is proving hard to escape from.
Stokes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Willis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Willis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Stokes throwing strikes but missing.
Stokes postures up in Willis's guard and throws a big left but Willis blocks it.
Stokes is fighting to break Willis's control of his arms but Willis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Willis has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Stokes off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Willis has Stokes up against the cage in a clinch.
Stokes tries to pull guard but Willis won't allow it.

Stokes pulls guard successfully.
Stokes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Willis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stokes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stokes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Willis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that Willis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Stokes dives in and grabs Willis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Willis pushes down on Stokes's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leland Stokes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Willis has closed the distance and engaged Stokes in a clinch.

Stokes has Willis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Willis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Stokes gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Stokes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stokes lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Stokes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Willis sprawls well. Willis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stokes gets slowly back to his feet.

Willis has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Willis is defending well against a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but William Willis will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Willis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Willis looks to land a combination but Stokes avoids it well.

Willis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stokes napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Stokes tries for a takedown but Willis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Stokes gets caught napping as Willis dives in and scores a takedown. Stokes manages to retain guard.
Willis wants to control from the top but Stokes keeps moving.

Willis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Willis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stokes is proving hard to escape from.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Stokes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Willis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Willis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stokes's guard.
Stokes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Willis controls the pace.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Willis throws a strike but Stokes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stokes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
William Willis has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stokes throws an elbow that misses. Willis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stokes's guard. Nice move by Willis!

Stokes throws an elbow that misses. Willis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stokes's guard. Nice move by Willis!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stokes is trying to get back to half guard.

Willis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Stokes sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Stokes parries the strikes from Willis easily there. Willis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stokes to escape.
A lull in the action here as Willis stalls from top position.
Stokes managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Willis.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stokes being controlled for a moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Willis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stokes down.
A lull in the action here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stokes scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Willis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Stokes is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Willis is defending well for now.

William Willis is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
