Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ulf Jensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Baltasar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernando Baltasar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fernando Baltasar!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensson misses with a takedown
and Baltasar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Baltasar is looking to score with low kicks.
Baltasar throws a series of punches but Jensson moves out of range.
Jensson walks into a stiff left hand from Baltasar.
Fernando Baltasar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jensson tries to keep at a distance but Baltasar has taken the fight into the clinch.

Baltasar tries to throw a body punch but Jensson avoids it by throwing Baltasar back against the cage.

Baltasar is pressed up against the cage. Jensson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Baltasar down to the mat. Baltasar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jensson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jensson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jensson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Ulf Jensson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Baltasar throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Baltasar walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jensson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jensson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jensson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Baltasar's guard.

Jensson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baltasar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jensson is fighting to break Baltasar's control of his arms but Baltasar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

and Jensson counters with a shoot takedown. Baltasar fights it but they end up in guard.

Jensson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Baltasar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

I would just about give that final round to Fernando Baltasar.
