Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Reddington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Whiting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raymond Reddington has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Whiting!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whiting shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Reddington tries to roll over but Whiting keeps him under control.

Whiting is taking a breather. Reddington says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Whiting is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reddington knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Whiting is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Reddington will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Whiting closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Whiting slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Reddington has his foot on Whiting's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Whiting works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Chris Whiting showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Whiting has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Reddington uses from the top position.

Reddington got a little sloppy there for a moment and Whiting has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reddington has managed to get both his arms back between Whiting's legs - danger averted.

Well Whiting has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
