Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brad Dillinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patches Meech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meech has chosen shear it maybe as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brad Dillinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patches Meech!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Meech, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Meech tries to bum rush Dillinger with a series of wild strikes but Dillinger uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dillinger tries to counter with a takedown but Meech is quick to defend against it.
No luck for Dillinger with that takedown attempt.
Meech lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Dillinger tries for a takedown but Meech sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Meech looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Dillinger throws a head kick that misses.
Dillinger shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Dillinger. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dillinger ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dillinger no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Meech wants to stand but Dillinger is controlling his posture from full guard.

Dillinger has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Dillinger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Meech's waist but Meech gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dillinger off to one side.

Dillinger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meech is fending him off so far but Dillinger persists. Nope, Meech circles away and we're back to standing.

Meech will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dillinger gets control of Meech's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dillinger will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Dillinger tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Meech swivels and escapes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I was talking to Dillinger's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Dillinger's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That was a close round but I would say that Brad Dillinger will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dillinger is trying to control the position but Meech postures up.
Meech is fighting to break Dillinger's control of his arms but Dillinger is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Dillinger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dillinger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Meech gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dillinger is looking for a triangle but Meech pushes his legs off easily.
Meech really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dillinger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Dillinger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Meech can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Meech wants to get up but he can't break Dillinger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Dillinger bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Meech's guard.

Meech is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dillinger is controlling him.
Dillinger is pushing down on Meech's leg trying to pass to half guard. Meech is fighting to maintain full guard but Dillinger has managed to sneak the leg through.
Meech is staying active underneath Dillinger, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Dillinger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Dillinger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Meech is in trouble now - Dillinger has advanced to mount!

Dillinger is working for a guillotine from mount but Meech frees his head quite easily.

I think Dillinger has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
