Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between leo snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Martinez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

snow closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Martinez to the mat! Martinez manages to get full guard.
snow postures up.

Martinez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. snow is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Martinez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take snow's back instead.
A lull in the action here.
Martinez lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns snow.

snow is refusing to be controlled, as Martinez sits in half guard.

snow manages to escape and get back to his feet!

snow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martinez's waist but Martinez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing snow off to one side.

Martinez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Martinez rushes snow and presses him up against the cage.
Martinez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

snow has hold of one of Martinez's legs. Martinez is fighting the takedown attempt but snow gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

snow shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Martinez tries to reverse the position but snow maintains control.

snow stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

snow looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Martinez is trying to stand up here but snow is controlling him well.

snow shoots in looking for a takedown. Martinez tries to sprawl out of it but snow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martinez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

snow pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Martinez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, snow asserts his dominance and retains side control.

snow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Martinez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
leo snow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
snow takes a little break here. Martinez wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Martinez sneaks out the side door and pushes snow away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

snow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

You can see the frustration on snow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Martinez remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
snow is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Martinez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martinez decides to stand up, so the ref orders snow to his feet.
snow has his takedown stuffed

and Martinez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in snow's guard.
Martinez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
snow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose Martinez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
