Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stanly Williams !
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams scores with a push kick.
A swing and a miss from McTearson.
Williams connects with a good right hand that stumbles McTearson. McTearson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Williams misses with a jab, cross combination.
McTearson misses with a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
McTearson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Beast in the buildup to the fight.

Williams drives through with a takedown into McTearson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
McTearson is trying to control the position but Williams postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McTearson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Williams - the referee stops the clock and McTearson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Williams . McTearson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams .

and McTearson counters with a stiff right hand.
McTearson throws out a powerful jab.

McTearson lands a high kick to the side of Williams 's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! McTearson dives into guard, looking to finish.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McTearson won't allow Williams to sweep him here.
Williams preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
McTearson throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range.
Williams dives in for a single leg takedown but McTearson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into side control. McTearson won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on McTearson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The strikes coming from Williams are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
McTearson has one of Williams 's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Williams is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McTearson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Stanly Williams will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Williams fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McTearson.
Williams takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McTearson misses with a low kick.
Williams pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McTearson moves away.

Williams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McTearson to the mat! McTearson manages to get full guard.
McTearson seems keen to control Williams 's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams wants to pass the guard but McTearson is keeping the position.
Williams looking to sit in guard and control but McTearson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McTearson is looking to advance position but Williams won't allow it.

McTearson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Williams wants to control from the top but McTearson keeps moving.
Stanly Williams has got the better of the ground game so far.
McTearson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
McTearson controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Stanly Williams will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Williams takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McTearson misses with a takedown attempt - Williams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Williams tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Williams fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McTearson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Williams misses with a series of wild punches.
Williams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McTearson.
Williams fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McTearson manages to avoid it.
It looked like McTearson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Rufus McTearson is winning the standup battle so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McTearson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McTearson is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, McTearson circles away and we're back to standing.
McTearson throws a leg kick which misses Williams 's front leg but catches the back leg as Williams tries to avoid it.

Williams is trying to counter with his kicks.
McTearson scores with a kick to the midsection.
McTearson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Some bone on bone action there as McTearson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
McTearson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Williams goes for a double leg but McTearson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McTearson continues to drive forward.

McTearson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Williams throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McTearson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.
