Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pernell Karl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kangi Ojoos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pernell Karl!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kangi Ojoos!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ojoos throws a combination that misses
and Karl counters with a nice uppercut.
Karl takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Karl stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ojoos jabs Karl right on the nose. Karl blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Pernell Karl has been cut.
Ojoos throws a hook to the side of Karl's head but Karl sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
An attempted straight right counter from Karl misses the target.
Karl lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ojoos jabs Karl to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kangi Ojoos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karl gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ojoos.
Ojoos takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ojoos works over Karl's head and body with a nice combination.
Ojoos takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

That kick from Karl tenderised Ojoos's leg. Ojoos is trying to keep his angry face on.

Ojoos shoots in for a takedown but Karl shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ojoos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ojoos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Karl manages to avoid it.

Karl is looking to counter punch.
Karl throws a body punch but Ojoos moves out of range.
Karl lands an overhand right.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ojoos scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Ojoos scores with the left hand. Karl knows he should have avoided that one.
Ojoos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Karl sprawls well. Karl wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ojoos gets slowly back to his feet.
Pernell Karl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kangi Ojoos.
Karl throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ojoos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've been told by Karl's head coaches at Victory Gym and Spa that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ojoos might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Ojoos misses with a looping left.
Pernell Karl is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Karl throws a quick counter kick to the body but Ojoos avoids it.
Ojoos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Karl is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Karl drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Karl wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Karl throws a nice looking combination but Ojoos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ojoos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Karl swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ojoos looks to score with a jab to the body but Karl is just out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Karl, as that shot connected.
Karl cracks Ojoos with a hook to the temple - Ojoos is on wobbly legs here! Karl swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Ojoos falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Karl wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pernell Karl!

Pernell Karl bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
