Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stan Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Jaa!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jaa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Davis, pushing him back against the cage.
Davis is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jaa is defending well.

Davis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jaa stuffs the takedown attempt from Davis. Davis gets slowly back to his feet.
Jaa unleashes a big counter combination but Davis bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Davis checks a low kick from Jaa.

Jaa closes the distance and clinches.
Davis is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stan Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jaa keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davis's efforts to push away.
Davis changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jaa fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jaa shoots in looking for a takedown but Davis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jaa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jaa misses with a takedown attempt - Davis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jaa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davis sprawls well. Davis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jaa gets slowly back to his feet.
Davis appears to be looking for a big counter.

Jaa gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jaa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Davis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jaa jumps guard but Davis stands there with Jaa around his waist. Jaa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Davis is trying to maintain a safe position but Jaa gets an underhook and turns Davis into the cage.
Davis tries to pull guard but Jaa won't allow it.

Jaa gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Davis regains guard.
Davis keeping full guard, as Jaa tries to pass.

Jaa drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Davis dives on top into guard.

Davis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jaa looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Davis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Davis trying to control but Jaa is working from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jaa can do anything to dispel that myth.
Davis won't allow Jaa to sweep him here.
Davis wants to control from the top but Jaa keeps moving.
Jaa is looking to stand up but Davis isn't so interested in that idea.
Davis forces his way into half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jaa trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Davis thowing shots but they're missing.
Jaa holds on to Davis around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
Jaa is trying desperately to improve position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Davis has hold of Jaa's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jaa manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Jaa dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jaa throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily.
Davis throws a big counter combination but Jaa scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Jaa shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jaa darts in and clinches Davis up against the cage.
Jaa lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Davis or not.
A bit of stalling here from Jaa.

Jaa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Davis fails with a takedown attempt.
Davis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jaa defends it nicely.
Stan Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jaa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Davis stuffs the takedown attempt from Jaa. Jaa gets slowly back to his feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jaa stuffs the takedown.
Jaa looks for the body kick but Davis saw that one coming.
A head kick misses from Jaa.

Davis gets tackled into the cage by Jaa. Jaa maintains the clinch.

Jaa doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Jaa wants to stand but Davis is controlling the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Davis wants to stand but Jaa has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jaa is looking to stand up but Davis isn't so interested in that idea.
Jaa is looking to sweep but instead, Davis has passed into half guard.
Jaa wants to control but Davis is keeping busy.

Davis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Tony Jaa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Nice takedown defense from Jaa. No joy for Davis on that attempt.
Jaa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jaa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davis circles away.
Davis tries to counter with a takedown but Jaa is quick to defend against it.

Jaa shoots for a double leg takedown but Davis sprawls well. He's pushed Jaa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jaa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jaa is in Davis's guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jaa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jaa wants to pass the guard but Davis is keeping the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Jaa has managed to clinch.
A right hand to the body from Jaa.
Davis is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jaa pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Jaa wants the takedown. Davis is fighting it off but Jaa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Davis's guard against the cage.

Tony Jaa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jaa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
