Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John MacDougal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Randy Park has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Randy Park seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Park!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John MacDougal!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Park lands with a straight right. MacDougal didn't see that one coming.
MacDougal misses with a jab, cross combination.
MacDougal tries for a takedown but Park sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

MacDougal tries to sprawl but Park drives through with a takedown into half guard.
MacDougal is trying to stand.

MacDougal looking for submissions off his back.
MacDougal is looking to control Park's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can MacDougal avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Park really is a fat lump.

Park is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

MacDougal is looking to improve his position.
MacDougal tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Park has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
MacDougal manages to regain half guard. Good work.
MacDougal makes his way to full guard. A much better position for MacDougal.

MacDougal looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Park passes into half guard.
MacDougal tries to get to full guard but Park has control of the leg.

MacDougal can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Park controls the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Park counters with a nice low kick that buckles MacDougal's knee momentarily.
MacDougal shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Park sprawls well. Park wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MacDougal gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nice takedown defense from Park. No joy for MacDougal on that attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by MacDougal or perhaps it was just good defense by Park, which made it look bad.

Park escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Park closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into MacDougal's guard.

Park stands and steps away. MacDougal gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Park jabs MacDougal right on the nose. MacDougal blinks but takes it well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Park thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Park is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that MacDougal can do to turn this around?

Park tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Park has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
MacDougal struggling a bit here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
MacDougal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Park wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Check out the look on Park's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
MacDougal is trying to work for a sweep but Park has mounted him!
Park avoids the attempt from MacDougal to control.
Park wants to control the pace but MacDougal is squirming around nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
MacDougal is trying desperately to improve position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Park seems to be working for a kimura but MacDougal defends the submission attempt.

MacDougal trying to get back to full guard but Park takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Park lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Park stands up from mount. Strange move.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Park throws a sloppy head kick and MacDougal moves out of range easily.
MacDougal shoots and misses
and Park makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Park scores with the left hand. MacDougal knows he should have avoided that one.

Park drives through and clinches with MacDougal against the cage.
MacDougal tries to pull guard but Park forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Park is looking to break free of the clinch but MacDougal has double underhooks.

MacDougal won't allow Park to get back to his feet.

Park has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. MacDougal has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Park effectively controlling the action here.

MacDougal ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. MacDougal no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Park trying to stand up but can't free himself from MacDougal's guard.
John MacDougal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Randy Park is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
