Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boyd McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fransino Tirta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuire comes to the cage accompanied by Five Finger Death Punch - The Way Of The Fist. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire is looking to slow Tirta down with leg kicks.
McGuire keeps the fight on the outside.
Tirta uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McGuire.
McGuire throws a jab but it's blocked by Tirta.
Tirta tries to close the distance and clinch but McGuire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McGuire attempts a counter takedown but Tirta avoids it well and moves away.

enabling McGuire to counter with a crisp jab.
Tirta moves in looking to clinch but McGuire pushes him off.
McGuire throws a quick counter head kick but Tirta was just out of range.
Tirta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and McGuire connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tirta does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGuire fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tirta manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
