Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Howell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bravo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bravo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bravo scores with a couple of good head shots there.


It looks like Josh Howell has been cut.
Bravo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Josh Howell's cut is getting worse.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Howell keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Howell regains half guard.

Bravo stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Howell to get to his feet.

Bravo clinches with his opponent.
Howell has Bravo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bravo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bravo is trying to stall.
Bravo has had enough of the clinch but Howell keeps him there for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bravo managing to block the knees to the body from Howell.
Howell throws a knee to the head but misses.
Howell tries for a takedown. No joy.
Howell is breathing heavily.
Howell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bravo blocks it with crossed arms.
Bravo wants to break free but Howell has control.
Howell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bravo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Howell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Howell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bravo smiles and moves away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bravo.
Bravo grinds an elbow into Howell's temple.
Bravo tries to advance to mount but can't.
A lull in the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bravo working the ground and pound from side control.


Jeez, Josh Howell's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Bravo looks up at the clock and then as Howell takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bravo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Josh Howell's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Johnny Bravo!
