PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Dragunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacque Schtrappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dragunov comes into the arena with 2pac-Uppercut blaring out of the sound system. Schtrappe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nitzer Ebb - Violent Playground kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragunov with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Schtrappe throws a half hearted mid kick.
Schtrappe walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dragunov.
Schtrappe throws a wild body kick that Dragunov sees coming a mile off.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dragunov.
Dragunov sizes up Schtrappe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Dragunov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Schtrappe was well out of range. Poor timing from Dragunov.

Schtrappe throws a hook to the side of Dragunov's head but Dragunov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Schtrappe's coach down at Homunculus Alembic was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Schtrappe's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Dragunov scores with a hook to the body. Schtrappe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Schtrappe takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Dragunov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Jacque Schtrappe took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
