Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sando Han (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heavy Hands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hands has chosen Til I Collapse as his entrance music. Sando Han has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sando Han!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heavy Hands!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hands scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Hands tries for a kimura but Han is defending well.
Hands trying to control the position but Han is working away.
Han throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Hands thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hands advances to full mount.

Hands goes for an armbar but Han turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Han.

Hands had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Han is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hands Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Han's back instead.
Hands is trying to stick to Han's back but Han is turning into Hands. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hands's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Han.

Hands keeping moving, preventing Han from controlling successfully.
Han tries to free his leg and advance position but Hands is retaining full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Han's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Han wants to stand but Hands is controlling his posture from full guard.
Han knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hands on the ground.

Hands working for a triangle but Han defends it easily.
Hands looks gassed!

Han avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Han with a nice head shot there.

Han trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Han wants to stand but Hands is controlling his posture from full guard.
Han trying to control but Hands is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Han would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Han has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Han lands a couple of elbows.
Hands avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Han throws a nice looking combination but Hands bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Han tries to clinch but Hands is having none of it.
Hands scores with a jab to the head.
Hands has a takedown stuffed.
Han misses with a series of wild punches.
Horrible takedown by Hands or perhaps it was just good defense by Han which made him look bad.
Han is looking to clinch.
Han wants to clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A swing and a miss from Han.
Han doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hands counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Hands is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hands missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Han moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Han is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Han stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hands to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heavy Hands dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A shot to the body from Han misses

and Hands counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hands.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Han keeping full guard, as Hands tries to pass.
Han wants to stand and escape but Hands is having none of it.
Hands stands up over Han, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hands trying to control but Han is working from the bottom.
Han wants to sweep here but Hands controlling him for the moment.
Hands postures up in Han's guard and throws a big left but Han blocks it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Han has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hands off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Han misses with a combination

so Hands counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hands postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Han is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hands, into his guard.
Han with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hands has his foot on Han's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Han works his way back into a safe position though.
Hands is trying to keep Han in close.

Han decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Han is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Han is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hands stopping the sweep attempt from Han.
Hands trying to control the position from guard on top but Han is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Han wants to stand up but Hands is controlling him.
Hands throwing strikes from guard but Han blocks nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Han misses with a double jab.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Hands is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Han throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Hands throwing shots but Han is blocking nicely.
Hands seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Han does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Han is trying to maintain the position but Hands is very close to passing his half guard.

Hands is looking for a kimura but Han is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hands to get the leverage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hands not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Han moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heavy Hands showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Hands wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Han, who protects the arm well.
Han is looking to regain half guard here but Hands keeps moving and retains side control.

Hands is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Han has escaped the position, nice work there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Han tries to bench press Hands off him but Hands keeps the position.
Han on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Han tries to get out of the position.

Hands stands up and beckons Han to his feet.
Han misses with a double jab
and Hands counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Han throws a series of punches but Hands moves out of range.
Han tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hands paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Han throws the left hand but Hands avoids the punch easily.
Han throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Han fails with a takedown attempt.
Hands looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hands circles away from the clinch attempt.
Han swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Hands counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Han!
Hands prevents Han from getting the reversal.
Hands avoids the attempt from Han to control.
Han keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Hands looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Han is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hands throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Han has his hands clasped together but Hands breaks the hold and Han is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hands!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Heavy Hands!
