Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Linwood Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Leek Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Linwood Sanders has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Linwood Sanders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Leek Jr!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leek Jr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sanders quickly recovers to half guard.
Leek Jr is keen to just control but Sanders is a slippery customer.
Leek Jr is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Sanders manages to get to full guard.
Leek Jr engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
It looks like Leek Jr might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leek Jr postures up in Sanders's guard and throws a big left but Sanders blocks it.
Leek Jr engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Leek Jr wants to control from the top but Sanders keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Leek Jr should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Leek Jr misses the shot to the body.
Sanders swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Leek Jr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Sanders gets tackled into the cage by Leek Jr. Leek Jr maintains the clinch.

Leek Jr has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sanders is trying to keep an underhook but Leek Jr manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Leek Jr is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sanders!
Sanders is desperately trying to improve his position but Leek Jr has a good base and remains in mount.
Leek Jr wants to control the pace but Sanders is squirming around nicely.
Poor strikes thrown by Leek Jr there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Leek Jr sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Leek Jr is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Leek Jr takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sanders bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Sanders wants to get up but he can't break Leek Jr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Sanders is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Leek Jr is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Leek Jr has escaped and now he's on top!

That's time! Sanders's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Leek Jr clinches up against the cage.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Leek Jr. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Sanders trying to control the position but instead, Leek Jr has worked for underhooks and has pushed Sanders into the cage.
Leek Jr is trying to force a seperation but Sanders has the dominant position.

Leek Jr has a closed guard, preventing Sanders from standing up.
Leek Jr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sanders wants to get up but he can't break Leek Jr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanders lands a couple of digs.
Leek Jr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanders's guard.

Leek Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Leek Jr throws a big elbow that misses.
Leek Jr wants to control from the top but Sanders keeps moving.

Leek Jr tries to stand but Sanders is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Leek Jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sanders's guard.

Leek Jr throws a strike but Sanders rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Sanders wanted to stand there but Leek Jr had control of the position.

Leek Jr looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sanders has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Leek Jr is proving hard to escape from.
Sanders keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Leek Jr's head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sanders missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sanders scoring with punches to the head and body.
Sanders wants to stand and escape but instead Leek Jr has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sanders is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Leek Jr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sanders does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Leek Jr thows a huge punch but Sanders dodges it nicely.

Leek Jr gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sanders enables Leek Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sanders manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Leek Jr passes Sanders's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sanders trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Leek Jr manages to pass to mount!

Well Leek Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
