The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinkelton misses with a series of wild punches.
Ishikawa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ishikawa defending well as Pinkelton loads up on a big left hand.

Ishikawa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pinkelton sprawls well initially but Ishikawa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ishikawa is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Pinkelton to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Pinkelton is looking for a triangle but Ishikawa pushes his legs off easily.

Ishikawa trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Pinkelton manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Pinkelton drops back looking for a leg! Ishikawa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ishikawa manages to kick Pinkelton off! Pinkelton jumps back into Ishikawa's guard.

Pinkelton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pinkelton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ishikawa looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pinkelton passes into half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Pinkelton is looking for a kimura but Ishikawa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pinkelton to get the leverage.

Pinkelton is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ishikawa wants to control but Pinkelton is keeping busy.

Pinkelton escapes and gets back to his feet.

Ishikawa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ishikawa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Joao Ishikawa has been cut.
Ishikawa on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Pinkelton throws a looping overhand right but Ishikawa ducks down to avoid it.

Pinkelton gets a takedown into half guard.

Pinkelton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Pinkelton moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Ishikawa.
Ishikawa tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Pinkelton presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Pinkelton fails with the takedown

and Ishikawa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ishikawa is sitting in close to Pinkelton's body. Pinkelton has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ishikawa is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ishikawa is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pinkelton.
